When did you start Crossfit?
I tried Crossfit during the summer of 2013. It was the summer before my senior year, and I was doing research in Florida. I wanted to stay in shape for Ice Hockey and knew I would not find ice time in Florida, so I decided to give Crossfit a chance.
What are your hobbies outside of CrossFit?
Cooking, traveling, reading, spending time with friends and family.
What's your favorite part about CrossFit?
The community. After moving five times in the last three years, I have found the best way to meet people, make friends and learn the local area is by joining a CrossFit gym.
Favorite workout and movement/exercise/lift?
Anything with a barbell! Especially the clean and jerk.
What is your proudest CF related accomplishment?
Every time I hit a PR :) I get excited and usually end up yelling or dancing around the gym.
What are your future CF related goals?
Freestanding handstand/handstand walk!
If you were to say something to someone new joining what advice would you give?
Just do it. I have never had a bad experience with Crossfit. I have trained at six different gyms on and off for the past three years and always come out feeling better about myself and with new friends. It doesn't matter how much or how little experience you have, you will always make improvements and have fun doing it
