The first pic is prego with Ryley.  I had been CFing for 1 1/2 years.  I CF'd until three weeks before I delivered Ryley.  The second pic is me this spring.  Really never saw myself looking like that until Kyle took my photo on vacation.  Kinda proud of that bod!

When did you start Crossfit?  5 1/2 years ago.  My husband tried it first.  I remember him coming home and being so tired and sweaty like he just did something awesome and I said "I want to do that!".

What's your favorite part about CrossFit?  Honestly, there are so many things!   I was a distance runner before I started having children.  Then I found I didn't have the time to put into that anymore and Crossfit was just what I needed.  I can get a kick ass work out in one hour!  I always say that each WOD feels like you just PR'd a 5k.  So my runner friends can understand the high you get from Crossfit.  The community is like family...really it is!  I love these people.  We sweat and suffer together and then celebrate finishing together.  There is something to that feeling that creates comradere.  I also secretly love that I don't have to think about my workouts.  I show up and there is someone there to tell me what to do and others there to motivate me!

Favorite workout and/or movement/exercise/lift? I always love when running is involved, but I would say my favorite thing to do is handstand push ups.  It's kinda fun to be 40 years old and get to flip upside down as an exercise!

How has CrossFit helped/affected your life outside the gym? I would say the friendships.  I have made so many great friends.  I also you my experience to motivate people in my practice.  I am a Physical Therapist Assistant and find I can share things I feel and learn from Crossfit with my patients to help proofread them in their rehab.  AND I used to be unable to help my husband put the canoe on top of the van and now it's a breeze!

What is your proudest CF related accomplishment? I am proud every time I walk in that door!  But, I suppose continuing to PR my benchmark WOD even as I am aging really feels good.  I love trying to keep up with the 25 year olds and sometimes beating them

Freestyle section: Crossfit is a big part of my life.  My children come with me and see me exercising and eating right.  I love being a positive role model for others.  I am not a Games Competitor, but I am fit and feel good.  It's a lifestyle that I plan to continue for a long time....
